A monthly security audit is included with the purchase of our Kernel & OS Updates, Server Side Virus Scanning, or Spam Filtering. The Security Audit will be conducted on request by our experienced team of administrators, and will cover the many known security exploits on your managed server. Security scan does not include scanning of applications or "pen testing" services. Scanning is limited to scans of the server itself and the ports open on it. Rootkit checks are also available on request.

Combine your servers bandwidth into one large pool and share your bandwidth allocation between your servers. Private Bandwidth Pooling enables you to combine your bandwidth limitations from all your servers into one large limit. This can be useful if you have back-end servers that have bandwidth allocations but do not generate traffic. When combined with our Private Network offering, this can be an extremely cost effective service.

Install and manage server side anti-virus software on your Whitesystem server. Includes regular fingerprint updates. Anti-virus software provided by ESET Node32 technology. ESET uses both signature-based and heuristic powered anti-virus software to scan and identify viruses and trojan horses in all their iterations. Both e-mail messages being sent and received via your server are scanned. All files added, modified, accessed or used by the operating system are also scanned.

SnapShield™ is Whitesystem's custom-designed on-demand firewall product. It enables any Whitesystem customer to be able to instantly lock down access to a specific server or a group of servers through the LEAPwebtop interface. SnapShield is powered by enterprise-grade Cisco™ firewall technology.

For most situations, you won't need an active, always-on firewall. If you need an always-on firewall, then consider purchasing your own dedicated hardware firewall, as it may be a better long-term option. However, for most dedicated server users a software-based firewall (such as Windows firewall or APF on Linux) is more than sufficient most-of-the-time.
